John Clay of the Lexington Herald-Leader writes that Kentucky defensive coordinator Steve Brown is hearing “mumblings and rumblings” from fans after last Saturday’s loss to Auburn.  Under Brown, the Wildcat defense has allowed 356.3 yards per game, the best four-year statistical stretch since 1987-90. Head coach Joker Phillips told the Herald-Leader, “There’s nothing wrong with people having opinions. But people’s opinions don’t change the way we are going to be as coaches.”

Kentucky has dropped three straight games, allowing 37 points to Auburn, 42 points to Ole Miss and 48 points to Florida.
