Marvin Austin on signing day

UNC senior wide receiver Greg Little and junior defensive end Robert Quinn were ruled permanently ineligible by the NCAA, and senior defensive tackle Marvin Austin was dismissed from the program, all for violating agent benefits, preferential treatment and ethical conduct rules, writes Sammy Batten of the Fayetteville Observer. Thus ends the college career of the trio. The Tar Heel football program, head coach Butch Davis and athletic director Dick Baddour may not be out of the woods yet, as the NCAA could still levy sanctions against the program.
