Interesting column from Paul Daugherty of the Cincinnati Enquirer who covered Brian Kelly during his days at Cincinnati.  He writes, “It’s possible to feel bad for Brian Kelly. You could feel good about him if he resigned,” under the headline “Will Notre Dame do right thing?

Brian Hamilton of the Chicago Tribune reports that Notre Dame junior tight end Kyle Rudolph will miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. Mike Ragone will likely replace Rudolph, a potential first-round draft pick who already had 28 catches and three touchdowns this fall. Rudolph missed several games in 2009 with a separated shoulder and had offseason surgery. Highly recruited freshman Alex Welch will not figure into the mix, according to coach Irish coach Brian Kelly.
